In my long term project „Like Rain“ I am following the young cello player, Carlo Lay, through his training at the Musical School of Hannover. Born in 2000, at the age of 5 Carlo was already playing in front of audiences. Now it is still the only thing imaginable for him to do.

What makes a young person feel so interested for an old art? And how does he deal with pressure in such closed circles? Wanting to know more, we spent a few months together so far, going back and forth to his classes, concerts and personal space. As there are so much more instruments and areas to explore, this project is still ongoing.
